"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path."

Who is Dr. Jenna Urban
Hi, I’m Jenna Urban! Some people call me “Dr. Jenna” because when I’m not writing, I’m taking care of people as a chiropractor in the small, rural town of Descanso, CA where I grew up. (Find my office here: www.mending4all.com)
This is a picture of me with my wonderful husband, Eddie, and the three beautiful girls that all came into my life just a couple of years ago. (Left to right: Brooke, Sienna and Jade to my right).
On the surface, I know this could sound and look like a fairy tale story, but I wandered for many years until I landed here. It wasn’t until I was thirty-seven years old (just two years ago), nearly twenty years after leaving “home” that God brought me back, and it certainly wasn’t my idea to come home. I had exhausted all my other options doing life in my own strength, hitting rock bottom more than once. As my husband likes to say, “Some of us discover that rock bottom has a basement!” There is so much to share between then and now and everything I’m learning and experiencing along the way. This is why I wanted to start a blog. I needed to start sharing! I’ve been helping others for decades, but I had to learn some important lessons about how to help myself before I could go any further. These lessons I want to impart unto YOU! Stories about mending, about letting God carry you through the toughest times, real life examples of restoration when it seems like there is no hope, lessons about stretching your faith, sitting back and allowing the miracles to unfold. I often say, the devil took everything from me that I had worked so hard for the first time around, but God in his awesome mercy and grace, gave me back and continues to return to me everything the devil stole, and then some! (John 10:10) Can we get a Mend & Amen!!!
So, if you're lost, broken, burnt-out and tired of the way things are, it is my hope the words you find here become food to your soul, nourishing you back to the hope and health you’ve lost. And for those of you who are strong in your faith, I pray these words renew your mind and spirit, reminding you of the goodness of God!
